I am an award-winning artist working across film, theatre and photography.
My practice has been shaped over the past twelve years through work and education in the UK, India, Russia, Europe and Lebanon. I’m drawn to unanswered questions and windows into different realities.
Particularly interested in the in-between; the spaces, times and environments that are often overlooked. I think that’s where human beings are at their most revealing.
Most curious about who we are right now, rather than who we were or who we hope to become. When people show their contradictions, I think they become their most endearing.
Much of my creative language has been formed through seven years of experience as a part-time carer in a range of different settings. Caregiving continues to shape how I listen, notice, and create. I believe that care itself is radical, shaping how we see and relate to one another every day.
I’m currently completing a part-time master’s in philosophy, which offers a vital lens through which I can continue to question. My philosophical research explores the intersection of emotion and politics, advocating for ambivalence as a constructive tool to foster a less polarised world.
